Ceramist Troy Bungart joins The Guild of Artists and Artisans in their first ever art fair on Main Street in downtown Brighton, MI.

Planters, platters, vases, mugs and critters: ceramics by Troy Bungart at the Ann Arbor Art Fair (The Guild) July 18-20, 2024. Find Troy at Booth SU 996 on the south side of S. University just west of the corner of E. University. (The booth is about a block further west than it was in 2023.)

I'm pleased, once again, to be an Independent Artist with Pewabic during their Holiday Showcase. This season Pewabic is shining a spotlight on jewelry and ceramic work from their Winter 2023 Collection, specially crafted in celebration of their 120-year anniversary. In addition, they are featuring select ceramic art by Independent Artists.

Please come join me for an intensive brushmaking workshop at Penland School of Craft in which we will cover basic and advanced brushmaking plus bamboo harvesting.

Expect to take home basic and compound handmade bamboo-handled brushes that you can make with a variety of brush head fibers.

The event will end with a Show-and-Tell reception where participants from all four workshops that weekend will gather at the gallery and see what everyone has accomplished!

Schaller Gallery’s Maker Focus on my work once again blows me away. I always appreciate the opportunity to step back and see how others see my art. It’s gratifying.

While I’m working I am always trying to infuse my pieces with the joy I feel in making them. When I see my work up on the gallery’s website I know I’ve succeeded!
